About Waterford:

Waterford, is a small riverside suburb of Perth, the capital of the state of Western Australia. Locally, it is known as the City of South Perth. There is a river named Canning that runs through Waterford.

Waterford is a part of the former suburb of Karawara that was renamed in the 1980s from Karawara.

Edmund Rice, the founder of the Christian Brothers, was born in Ireland, which is why the area was named after him. On 2 square kilometres of land south of Manning Road and along the shores of the Canning River, the Christian Brothers acquired land in 1901 for the Clontarf Orphanage, a school and farm for orphaned and disadvantaged boys. Currently, the College is referred to as Clontarf Aboriginal College. Furthermore, it is governed by a representative Board of Directors, under the direction of the Director of Catholic Education of Western Australia. As Principal of Clontarf Aboriginal College, I am responsible for the day-to-day operation of the College, including the recruitment and hiring of all employees.
